Marion was born in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia, in 1944.
With no formal art training, she began drawing at an early age and sold numerous art works to tourists while growing up on Magnetic Island.

Extensive travel throughout Australia and overseas helped to develope her love for landscapes and seascapes.

Early retirement in 1999 allowed her to revisit her childhood passion for painting and she continues with enthusiasm.
